Lavender lantana has taken off.
Periwinkles and Melampodium coming into bloom. They will last until frost. Periwinkles are more drought proof than melampodium.

Salvia leucantha blooms in the shorter days near fall. Melampodium makes a yellow show. Note the dead Black Eyed Susan plant to the right, with seed pods left for the birds.
Periwinkles (catharanthus roseus) are at their best. They will reseed along with the Black eyed Susans.
